Eight New DIRECT trains a day

Hull Trains - Harrogate

'The journey has started to make
direct services a reality

Regular direct rail services between Harrogate and London King’s Cross have been proposed by the company behind the multi-award-winning Hull Trains – the UK’s most reliable and punctual open access* train operating company. If granted regulatory approval, Harrogate Trains Limited would begin operating in the summer of 2009.

Should the proposals be given the ‘green light’, changing trains to get to the capital will be consigned to the past as the lack of a direct line connecting the likes of Harrogate and Wetherby to the capital is finally addressed. In addition, the Harrogate economy and tourism will be boosted and passengers will get the service they fully deserve – something that the Harrogate Convention Centre is right behind.

It is estimated that over 100,000 long distance road journeys would be relieved as a result of the new rail travel option.
