Hull Trains...an impressive track record
Hull Trains has enjoyed phenomenal growth since the open access rail operator was established in 2000.
Part of First Group, the company has grown by 20 per cent year-on-year. Its seven daily direct services between Hull and London King’s Cross have transformed travel to and from the capital city for the people of Hull as well as bringing inward investment and increased levels of tourism to the northern city.
Indeed, the growth in rail travel between Hull and London has been exponential; there was an increase of almost 70 per cent in the first five years of Hull Trains’ history.
Importantly, annual independent surveys illustrate that customer satisfaction levels for Hull Trains are higher than those enjoyed by other train operating companies. Fleet reliability is also significantly better than that achieved by other long distance operators on the East Coast Main Line and elsewhere.
As an open access rail operator, Hull Trains is an unsubsidised independent company built on delivering commercial success. To that end, customers are all important and not taken for granted and the company is constantly endeavouring to increase and enhance its offer to passengers.
